Video by Josh Fox. FYI, Josh is working on a sequel for HBO, called Gasland 2, which will be out later this year. But meanwhile, he has written and directed The Sky Is Pink– a short (18-minute) film that is, well, just for you, governor. You can watch it below.
Josh Fox has distilled a lot about the fallacy of the ‘debate’ between biogenic vs thermogenic methane in this short film. Those who have watched Dr. Anthony Ingraffea’s presentations on the frequency and inevitability of cement casing failure, will recognize the animated graphics from Southwestern Energy and the reports cited. Another strong voice in this area is Jessica Ernst, who is suing Encana Corporation in Alberta for wanton disregard of community safety and health. What she has uncovered is truly alarming. I’d recommend the videos of her presentations as well as Ingraffea’s for those looking for more in depth understanding of the false dichotomy, something which also comes out in Josh Fox’s discussion on the media with Pittsburgh City Councillor Doug Shields at 3:14. This is a great film to put out at this particular time. Thank you Josh Fox.Good distillation. And thank you aJosh Fox nd Barbara Arrindell for an excellent summation in your article published in the Times-Union “Fracking is hardly leakproof”. Would it be possible to get permission to have that article syndicated in the Southern Tier?

Great video. Industry knows how gas wells leak – from the outside of the casing up into groundwater
