Sanford NY Town Board meeting ( people speak views on fracking ) Aug 14 2012 ( 08/14/2012)

This was a town board meeting following the previous months town board meeting where the town board did not respond where the “Fracking Resolution” came from. This (due to the boards response) kicked off a local signature drive to show the majority of the township wanted a one year moratorium. I did not know people would be allowed to speak at this meeting, I had no idea that the agenda had been changed to allow citizens to speak, I was there because I knew this was the last meeting before Governor Cuomo allows drilling in towns that want it ( sic ) . Evidently the local JLCNY knew this was happening, they were all outside before the meeting (one handing out stickers).
Farming has been a very tough business in this area, and we have seen family farms fold one after another over the years and the job market is bad. There is a divide among “industries” here, vacation rentals and vacation homes pay for a portion of the taxes, the other part is from people who do the best they can living in the area year round. Area is about seven miles west of cannonsville reservoir. For the compressor station in West Windsor with the recent accident, DUNBAR COMPRESSOR STATION, 414 DUNBAR RD, WINDSOR, NY. “Plant-wide actual emissions of all HAPs ( hazardous air pollutants ), combined,
