License CC-BY-SA-NC: Taped 7-11-12. In Windsor, NY High School Auditorium. About 250 people showed up. People are responding to the Supervisors passing Resolution 24 which allows the DEC and Governor to do their job and decide what is best for NY regarding gas drilling and fracking. There were a lot of questions why the “Fracking” resolution was passed with out any apparent attempt to reach out to the community or obtain a mandate, same issues occurred in Sanford
As in most of these meetings the JLCNY was well organized (my opinion from what I have heard of this meeting ). From meetings I have seen they are either there (with one person handing out stickers) or they are barely there (e.g. Sept 11th Sanford meeting).
Job market in Windsor is terrible, I was down town two days. First time the kids waited outside for a while and one desperate/hopeful kid asked them “are you from around here?”. Other time I wondered if the town chines restaurant was operating in the red. At the clerks office I saw an application for a marriage license before being deployed to Japan.
Watch this and gauge your impression on the stance and opinion of the town board supervisor Randy Williams and then see below for the letter signed (by the head of the town board) sent between (monthly) town board meetings. I commend him for having an unlimited time limit. This was not provided in the subsequent Sanford August town board meeting (youtube posted).
